I enjoy taking pictures. It's not what I do for a living and not something I do as often as I'd like, but when I get a chance it's something that I have fun with and allows the visual side of my brain to get a little exercise. I take my camera with me on vacation; it's a good excuse indulge and the photos I take mean more to me than any postcard or other souvenir I could bring home. Most of the artwork in my home is my own and I give myself assignments if I need a specific piece for a certain room. I continue to learn and to try to improve my technique. I read a lot of photography, Photoshop, and Lightroom books in an effort to help myself capture better images and do more with those images once I'm back home.
