The roots of both my major interests, computer science and art, are buried somewhere deep in my childhood.  I don't know where either came from but their growth together--especially recently-- has given rise to a unique perspective of each influenced by the other.  My favorite art forms are computer based collages and photography.  Spawning from these are more unique art forms such as CD jewel case designs and Christmas greeting cards.

The images that follow are a selection from my Visual Communications portfolio.  I've divided it into five sections:

   · Giclées
   · Photographs
   · Paintings & Drawings
   · CD Designs
   · Greeting Cards

Please use the thumbnails on the right to view the entire exhibits.

Personal Projects

The word "giclée" is French for "spurt" or "spray", as in "spraying ink on".  Thus, a giclée is a art print made from an inkjet or similar printing device, where ink is sprayed on paper.  I started making computer-photo-collage art work in 1995; today this is my own personal preferred art-form, but the frequency of creating this pieces is very low due to the time it takes to put something like this together, successfully.

Class Assignments

My last semester at Wittenberg I took both a drawing and painting class, figuring that it might be my last chance to learn some of these more traditional art forms.  Here I present a few of the best pieces from this effort.

Completed for 'Painting I' and 'Basic Drawing', Wittenberg University, Spring 2001.

Contracted Designs

To this day, I'm not exactly sure how I got started doing this, but there were a few groups at Wittenberg that were producing CDs and needed art for their CD jewel cases so I told them that I'd help them out.

Christmas Cards

It's no secret to those who know me that Christmas is my favorite time of the year.  In 1999 I started making my own Christmas cards, a tradition that my recipients have enjoyed, and that I plan to continue.
